Using EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques®)EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Techniques and is part of a family of energy techniques. EFT is based on the ancient art of acupuncture and uses many of the same energy meridians or energy sensitive spots on the body. When using EFT, instead of using needles, we activate these meridians through a series of gently tapping with our finger tips while focusing on a problem or issue we wish to resolve or be free of. About 20 years ago, energy techniques began to emerge in the U.S. when Dr. Roger Callahan, a psychologist became dissatisfied with the results of traditional talk therapy. Dr. Callahan combined western ideas with eastern methods and designed a unique but rather complex and involved therapy called TFT, or Thought Field Therapy. Gary was one of the initial students of Dr. Roger Callahan. He was quite impressed by the results that this technique (TAT) achieved but felt it was too involved and complex for the average person to learn. Gary began to experiment with the technique, shortening it down to what he eventually developed as EFT or Emotional Freedom Techniques which enabled his clients to achieve the same level of results as did Dr. Callahan’s but much more rapidly and using a far more easily learned technique. Gary determined that the cause of all negative emotions was due to a disruption in our body's energy system. EFT works by removing this disruption and allowing our energy to once again flow freely through our body as it was intended. EFT CoachingThe following chart lists just some of the many issues that EFT coaching may be used to successfully ease or totally eliminate. This list is by no means anywhere near complete.
